Delivery Information | The Butcher of Brogdale

At The Butcher of Brogdale, we want ordering your meat online to be as simple, convenient and reliable as possible. Whether you are choosing local butcher delivery across Kent and South East London, or nationwide UK delivery via courier, your order will be freshly prepared by our skilled butchers and packed with care.

We are proud to offer flexible delivery options, including local refrigerated van delivery, nationwide courier delivery, and click & collect from your nearest Brogdale store.

Product Weights & Accuracy

All products sold on www.thebutcherofbrogdale.co.uk are sold as individual units with indicative weights.

As many of our products are traditionally butchered from whole carcasses, we always aim to be as accurate as possible, but there may naturally be a small variation in weight from time to time.

For this reason, The Butcher of Brogdale reserves the right to apply a 10% margin of error to the stated weight of each item.

This means that an item may be up to 10% above or below the advertised weight.

If the weight supplied is more than 10% below the stated weight, you will be entitled to a pro-rata refund.

If the weight falls within the 10% margin, no refund will be applied.

This policy allows us to maintain fair and consistent pricing while continuing to offer properly butchered, fresh products prepared in the traditional way.

Where We Deliver

We currently offer two delivery options:

Kent & South East London

Delivered in our own refrigerated vans by our friendly delivery drivers.

Nationwide UK Delivery

Delivered across the rest of the UK via our trusted courier partner, DPD.

Whether you are ordering for a family roast, stocking the freezer, or sending a larger meat order, we aim to make the process as straightforward as possible.

Delivery Days

We know convenience matters, which is why we offer a delivery date selector at checkout. Simply choose the delivery day that works best for you.

This helps make ordering your butcher delivery online easier and more flexible around your week.

Delivery Charges

Local Delivery (Kent & South East London)

£1 on orders over £30
£6 on orders under £30

Nationwide Delivery (via DPD)

Minimum Order Value

There is no minimum order value, but for local deliveries, orders under £30 are subject to a £6 delivery charge.

How We Pack Your Order

Your order will be freshly prepared by our skilled butchers, vacuum packed, and carefully boxed with chilled packaging to help keep everything in excellent condition until it reaches you.

We take great care when preparing every order so that your products arrive fresh, well packed, and ready for your fridge, freezer, or kitchen.

Click & Collect

Prefer to collect your order instead? Simply choose Click & Collect at checkout and pick up from your nearest Brogdale store at a time that suits you.

Our click & collect service is a convenient option for customers who want to order online and collect from one of our stores across Kent and the South East.

Missed Deliveries

If you are not at home at the time of delivery, our driver — or DPD where applicable — will leave your order in a safe place wherever possible to ensure your products remain fresh.

For local van deliveries, if nobody is available to receive the order and there is no safe place to leave it, The Butcher of Brogdale reserves the right to charge a £2 re-delivery fee.

For nationwide deliveries via DPD, if delivery cannot be completed because access could not be gained or no alternative arrangements were made using the DPD delivery notification, the parcel may be returned to the depot. As our products are perishable, DPD does not offer a second delivery attempt, and in these circumstances no refund will be available.

DPD Nationwide Deliveries

DPD handles delivery for all UK orders outside of our local van delivery area.

You will receive an email and/or SMS notification from DPD on the day of delivery, or the day before, with your delivery time slot.

If you have any special instructions for your driver, we recommend using the DPD app or the link provided in your notification.

If DPD is unable to deliver because there is no access to the property and no alternative delivery option has been selected, your parcel will be returned to the depot.

During peak periods, such as Christmas, once your parcel has been collected by DPD from The Butcher of Brogdale, we cannot be held responsible for delays within the courier network. DPD will keep you updated directly with any revised delivery information.
